Robert John Kilborn, 48

Robert John Kilborn, 48, died Dec. 15, 2010, in Coeur d'Alene. He was born Aug. 28, 1962, in Fort Bragg, N.C.

Rob moved to Coeur d'Alene at 1 year of age. He graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1980. After graduating, he moved to Bellingham, Wash., and worked in the marine industry for years. He was a very talented shipyard and crane operator. He recently moved back to the Coeur d'Alene where he was working in the construction field.

Rob was an avid sportsman and great storyteller. He loved boating, fishing and any outdoor activity with his children. Everyone who ever met him liked him due to his humorous personality and spry demeanor. He made everyone laugh. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others. All it took was a phone call to have him come to help, no matter what the problem.

Rob is survived by his children, Keegan Kilborn, Kitana Kilborn and Presley Kilborn, all in the Bellingham area; his mother, Barbara Kilborn (Bob Bolkcom) of Bayview; brothers, Mike Searls (Irene Wilson) of Hayden, Ron Searls (Linda Ricken) of Spokane, Wash.; sister Lisa Loy (Mark) of Hayden; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and many, many, friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Kilborn and his grandmother, Jeanette Kilborn.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at the First Baptist Church (Fifth and Wallace) in Coeur d'Alene. Reception to follow.

Rob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
