Woman hospitalized after crash

CHILCO - A Coeur d'Alene woman was treated and released at Kootenai Medical Center on Monday night after a collision on U.S. 95 near Chilco.

According to Idaho State Police, Rosalie M. Jacobs, 51, was southbound in a 1998 Pontiac Transporter minivan about 6 p.m. when it collided with a 1994 Peterbuilt semi driven by Donald N. Stebbins, 40, Spokane. Stebbins was not injured.

Police said Stebbins had entered U.S. 95 traveling southbound from Ohio Match Road when the crash happened.

One southbound lane was blocked for about two hours.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

An investigation continues.
