LCHS Theatre Arts fundraiser set

| December 17, 2010 8:00 PM

NBC's popular game show, "Minute-to-Win-It" is the basis of Troupe de Wolfe Productions fundraiser set for 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Lake City High School Auditorium.

There are 10 challenges using household items and 60 seconds on the clock, with money and prizes on the line.

The show features everyday Americans competing in 60-second challenges with household objects for a shot at a million bucks.

"Though we cannot offer a million dollars, we can offer every ticket purchaser the opportunity to be a participant in the show. Just like the TV show, as the money increases, so does the level of difficulty. After winning some money, will contestants stay and play, or take the cash and dash?" according a press release.

Here are some sample challenges:

• Chocolate Unicorn: Stack 7 Ding Dongs on the forehead.

• Tortilla Head: Use swim flippers to pick up a tortilla from the floor and flip it up onto a plate balanced on the head.

• Sticker Picker Upper: With one hand holding an upside down pizza tray, contestant rolls an egg onto it to collect four small upside-down stickers.

The evening is sure to be great fun and laughs for the whole family. Tickets for the event are $5 and may be purchased at the door, beginning at 6:15 p.m., or they may be purchased in advance from drama teacher Sandy Seaton in room B-11.
