NIC instructor memorial is today

A memorial for long-time North Idaho College instructor, Joe Jonas, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Boswell Hall Room 102 on the NIC campus. A reception will follow in the foyer.

Jonas, a retired NIC art instructor and artist, passed away on Dec. 7. He left a footprint on NIC, formed by the 18 years he changed students' lives as an art instructor from 1980-1998 and through the work he created for NIC's campus. His work can be seen on the face of Christianson Gym, the bronze panels in the foyer of Molstead Library, and in various locations in Boswell Hall.
