Joiner leads St. Maries in win

• BOYS BASKETBALL

ST. MARIES - Sophomore post Warren Joiner scored 21 points to go along with eight rebounds and St, Maries beat the Lake City junior varsity 60-36 on Monday.

"Warren had an excellent game for us in the post," St. Maries coach Craig Wicks said. "Lake City fought and battled, and ended up giving us a real good game."

Zach Lehman added 13 points and seven assists for the Lumberjacks.

Mitch Bevacqua led Lake City with 12 points.

St. Maries (5-1) travels to Sandpoint to take on the Bulldogs on Thursday.

COEUR d'ALENE - Hailey Jackson scored a game-high 25 points to help the Lake City junior varsity beat St. Maries on Monday night at Lake City High School.

Tia Asbury led the Lumberjacks (2-5), who host Sandpoint on Thursday, with 13 points.

ST. MARIES - Chase Lincoln (103 pounds), Austin Ashby (112) and Thomas Tucker (215) each won their weight classes for the Viking junior varsity, which finished third at the St. Maries Invitational on Saturday.

Matt Howard (189) and E.G. Lunceford (136) both finished third for Coeur d'Alene, and Billy Keeley (152) was fourth.
