EWU loses in final seconds

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Adrian Oliver scored 29 points and Justin Graham hit a jump shot from the foul line with 6.1 seconds remaining to lift San Jose State (6-3) to a 70-69 victory over Eastern Washington on Sunday.

Glen Dean, making his season debut after missing two months with a fractured foot, led the Eagles (2-6) with 23 points. Cliff Colimon, returning after missing two games with an ankle injury, added 13.

Dean gave the Eagles their first lead of the game, 67-66, when he hit two free throws with 1:46 left to play.

EWU plays host to Seattle on Wednesday.
