Recycling is in the bag

| December 10, 2010 8:00 PM

POST FALLS - Post Falls has 3,000 free reusable grocery bags to hand out it to its city residents.

The bags - available at the city's Parks and Recreation and Community Development departments at City Hall and at the police station - were funded with a $5,000 grant from Post Falls Sanitation to promote recycling and lessen the impact on landfills.

"No tax dollars were used for this project," said Shelly Enderud, the city's finance director.

There is a limit of one bag per household.

The goal is to promote recycling in the community.

It is the second straight year the city has made free bags available to its residents.
