Post Falls sweeps to open wrestling season

POST FALLS - The Post Falls Trojans opened the season with a 58-13 win over the Cheney Blackhawks and 52-21 win over Shadle Park Highlanders on Tuesday at The Arena.
"It was a good opener for us," Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. "Our guys seemed to wrestle well and seemed to be able to make weight. It was a real good way to open the season."
Lakeland also took on both schools, falling to Shadle Park 49-22 and Cheney 48-30 to open its season.
"I saw a lot of good things tonight," Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said. "We've got a real young team this year. Overall, I thought the kids wrestled well and we'll keep plugging away throughout the season."
Post Falls will face Riverside and Lakeside (Wash.) tonight at Coeur d'Alene High.
Lakeland travels to the Inland Empire Classic on Friday at Central Valley High in Spokane.
