Mickey Doyle Hoobler, 66

Mickey Doyle Hoobler, 66, passed away at home in Rathdrum on Nov. 27, 2010.

Mickey was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Aug. 24, 1944, to Rex (Sr.) and Ruth "Peg" (Burns) Hoobler. Mickey moved from California to Spirit Lake in 1979 and settled in Rathdrum in August 1990.

Mickey married Linda E. Paye on Jan. 6, 1968, in Panorama City, Calif.

He worked as a manufacturing engineer and served in the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed woodworking, golf and recently started recording old records to CDs for the family.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Linda E. Hoobler and their son, Jeffery Allen Hoobler. He is also survived by two grandsons: Devin Michael Hoobler and Austin Allen Hoobler, both of Twin Lakes; and one brother, Clifford B. Hoobler of Chatsworth, Calif.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Ruth Hoobler; his brother, Rex Hoobler and his sister, Maridee Basey.

A memorial service will be held in the spring, when all of Mickey's family and friends can make it safely to his home in Rathdrum. Friends and family will be notified of the date once it has been determined. Cremation has been entrusted to English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene.
