Lakewood to host KHS fundraiser

COEUR d'ALENE - Lakewood Animal Hospital, 272 West Hanley Ave., is having an open house today.

The event is a fundraiser for the Kootenai Humane Society. There will be pet pictures with Santa, KHS volunteers will be on hand with dogs to adopt, and Lakewood Animal Hospital will donating $1,000 worth of medical supplies to KHS.

There will also be music, food, beverages, cookie decorating, a cake walk and pet toys and treats. There will be characters in costume including The Gingerbread Man, Frosty the Snow Man and a penguin.
