Geraldine P. Mahoney, 75

| December 7, 2010 11:27 AM

Geraldine P. Mahoney, 75, resident of Hayden Lake, died Dec. 2, 2010, at home. She was born March 20, 1935, in Omaha, Neb., to William and June (Loeman) Rikard. A true lady of grace and dignity, a lady who walked her talk. She was loved by many, disliked by none. Looking in her eyes you could see the spirituality she carried.

God was with her wherever she went. She helped so many and asked for nothing in return. A lady truly loved. God bless. Geraldine spent 52 years in recovery, touching so many across the states with laughter, tears, joy and sorrow, she will be missed!

Geraldine and her husband Gerald had four children: Bill, Michael, Terrace and David; they raised them in San Jose, Calif., before moving to Hayden Lake due to Gerald's medical issues. They moved here for the clean air.

She is survived by her three sons: Bill, Michael and David; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many, many friends.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and June Rikard; husband Gerald and son Terrace.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the Friends Church, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of services.

Family suggests memorials to: Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
