Northern Lakes Fire holding community food drive

The Northern Lakes Fire District will be in the Hayden and Rathdrum collecting food and toys to support local food banks this month.

Fire trucks will visit Broadmoore Estates, Strawberry Fields and Grouse Meadows on Thursday, from 6-8:30 p.m. and the Rathdrum neighborhoods of Prairie Estates, Boekel Ranch and Meadowland Estates on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.

The annual event has brought in thousands of pounds of food to support families in the area.

"When you see the fire trucks in your neighborhoods please show your support and help the families in need in our community," said a press release.
