Benefit scheduled at Calypsos in Cd'A

COEUR d'ALENE - A Christmas Celebration & Benefit is scheduled Saturday at Calypsos Coffee & Creamery, 116 E. Lakeside Ave.

There will be live music from 3-9 p.m. with Thomas and Padma Rutley and other local artists, including 10-year-old Faith Soltysik. Donations will go to help less fortunate teens and CASA, an organization that helps children and teens in crisis.

They will also be accepting items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and stuffed animals - "The bare everyday essentials that they don't have time to grab when taken from their homes for whatever reason," said owner Maria-Cristina Jenicek.
