Audrey Lavane Robertson, 92

Audrey Lavane Robertson, of Coeur d'Alene, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother Great-great-grandmother, Aunt and Friend died Nov. 23, 2010. She was 92 years of age. Audrey was born Sept. 24, 1918, in Minnesota to Newton and Blanche Edwards. Audrey's family came to this country as early as 1630, mostly of English descent; in 1700 her Welsh and Irish families came to this country.

She married Jack Robertson (of Scotland) in Minnesota on Feb. 9, 1936. He preceded her in death in December 1990. To her were born seven children, four sons and three daughters, two of whom preceded her in death, a son James Michael and a daughter, Jean Audrey Cox.

Audrey was a registered nurse receiving her degree at San Bernardino Valley College. She was a Charge nurse at Loma Linda University until her retirement in 1980. Audrey was a woman of many talents, she was an artist, wrote poetry and music; sewing and fine needle work, won her blue ribbons; she spent many hours reading books and studying her bible. She along with her husband loved to travel, mostly by car or as to make many stops to enjoy the country and take pictures, filling many albums with pictures of family, friends and places that they visited. In 2005 East Wenatchee, Wash., Audrey attended a family reunion with 57 family members in attendance; her pride and joy. She was a true and trusted friend, and of a generous nature; she was a consistent and conscientious Christian; she was a Sunday-school teacher and was involved in bible study.

Audrey is survived by three sons: Larry Robertson of Edmonds, Wash., Dennis Robertson of Coeur d'Alene and Bob Robertson of Rodgers, Tenn.; two daughters: Gail Reasons of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Betty Spry of Portland, Ore. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law of Connecticut and numerous nieces and nephews. Three grandchildren preceded her in death. A Great Lady, She was loved and will be missed.
