Margie Porter, 77

Margie Ann Porter went to be with Lord after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010. Her faith, family and friends were such a great comfort to her. She was born June 9, 1933, in Denver, Colo., to C.B. "William" and Hazel (Hochmuth) Howell who preceded her in death. She was an active member of Coeur d'Alene Bible Church, the Red Hatters and Back Alley Babes Evening Sorority. Her love for family was her main focus and she was always putting other's needs ahead of her own.

Margie is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Edward Porter Sr.; her daughter, Debbie Machado and husband, Terry; her son, James Porter II and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Kenneth James Machado (Jenna), Lee Ann Griffin (Mike), Sharman Peterson (Ken), James Porter III and Jack Porter; great-grandchildren, Dilan, Rylee, Taylor, Madison and Margie Ann; a sister, Karen Howell Flatt and brother-in-law, John Flatt of Laguana Niguel, California.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of North Idaho, especially Arin, April and Sally and prefers that memorial donations be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
