Gregory A. Davis, 52

Gregory A. Davis born Sept. 1, 1957, died on July 21, 2010, at his residence in Post Falls. Greg was born in Kamiah to Harold and Jill Davis.

He was the youngest of six children. Greg was active in sports and rodeo when growing up, and was a Little League and soccer coach as an adult. He frequently volunteered at Head Start and Prairie View Elementary. He often could be seen holding the babies at his church, River of Life Friends Church.

Greg was employed by the Potlach Corp. until his vision and kidney failure forced his retirement.

Greg remained as active as he could within the limits of his health belonging to the Krazy 8's square dance club and the National Federation of the Blind.

Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Jill and brother Gordon.

He is survived by his spouse, Marcia; dad Harold of Kamiah; siblings, Mary of Oregon, Tim (Sheila) of Utah, Ron (Linda) and Harold Jr. (Joan) of Idaho; children, Jeff (Priscilla) of Oregon, Jennifer (Dane) and Ricky of Idaho; grandchildren, Zander, Giovanni and Athena, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at the River of Life Friends Church (12th and Cecil) in Post Falls.

A memorial fund has been established at any Wells Fargo bank branch for Greg Davis to help the family with expenses.
