Lyle Overbay hit two homers and drove in a career-high seven runs as the visiting Toronto Blue Jays battered Boston Red Sox starter Jon Lester en route to a 16-2 victory on Friday night.

Lester surrendered eight hits, three walks and nine runs in 2-plus innings.

Tigers 6, Indians 0: Armando Galarraga pitched seven shutout innings and host Detroit beat Cleveland.

Rangers 2, Orioles 0: C.J. Wilson struck out 12 and Texas won at Baltimore.

Athletics 5, Rays 4: Gabe Gross scored the go-ahead run on second baseman Ben Zobrist's fielding error in the eighth and host Oakland beat Tampa Bay.

Twins 7, Angels 2: At Minneapolis, Brian Duensing pitched eight solid innings and Minnesota beat Los Angeles.

Chicago at Kansas City, ppd., rain: The White Sox-Royals game was postponed by rain and rescheduled as part of a doubleheader today beginning at 4:10 p.m. PDT.

Braves 5, Cubs 3: Rick Ankiel's three-run triple in the ninth lifted Atlanta at Chicago.

Giants 6, Cardinals 3: Pablo Sandoval and Aubrey Huff homered, leading San Francisco at St. Louis.

Brewers 10, Padres 6: Casey McGehee homered and drove in four runs, leading host Milwaukee past San Diego.
