ATHOL: Support for food bank

I would like to thank the community for their support for the food bank of Athol. During the Athol Days parade we gathered two 55-gallon drums of food. I would like to thank Super 1 Foods, 7UP Bottling, Eagle Peak, Little Town Market, Crossroads Conoco, Loony Bean Coffee, North Idaho Propane, Woods Sausage and Bonner County Water and Soil Conservation Department.

The community far exceeded my expectations and that of the Athol Food Bank. Special kudos to Bob and Liz, Chuck and Julie, and to Kasey Price (float driver).

Without the Coeur d'Alene Press none of this would have been possible. You were my only source of advertising and it worked!

Thanks everyone from the bottom of my heart.

AUTO: Gratitude shown to soldier

For the past few weeks I've taken my car to multiple auto shops and my car never got completely fixed. Atlas Automotive fixed it in two days and when I asked how much I owed they told me: "Nothing. Just tell your husband we all say thank you for serving our country." My husband just got back from Iraq and will soon be deploying again. I appreciate this company's recognition of service to country and its service to our community.
