Gerene A. Drapeau, 64, of Post Falls, passed away Aug. 20, 2010, at home. She was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Orofino, to Sid Malar and Gladys Woodward Malar.

Her hobbies included gardening, grandchildren, reading and casino with her brother Bill.

Gerene is survived by her spouse, Andy Drapeau, whom she was married to for 45 years; daughter Corinna (Rick) Whiting; son Aaron (Julie) Drapeau; grandchildren, James, Garrett, Todd, Kris, Tyler, Chad, Lexis, Charlie, Kirstin and Brandon; great-grandson Ryan; brothers, Bill Malar of Post Falls and Ed Malar of Montana; niece Kim Malar and best friends, Donna Drapeau and Jeannie Peugh.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wade Drapeau.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Viewing will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls.
