Alice Elizabeth 'Peggy' Heaney Mongrain, 82

Peggy, as she was known her whole life, was born and raised in Philipsburg, Mont., along with her one sibling, Paul Heaney to parents, Ethel and Paul Heaney.

She went on to Carrol College in Helena, Mont., to obtain her nursing degree and there she met her one love, Robert Mongrain. They married, moved to San Diego, Calif., where they raised their four children and lived many years.

Peggy was a devoted wife and mother, raising her family. In later years she moved back to the Northwest, to Montana and then to Coeur d'Alene.

Peggy loved the Lord and her family, and were her strongest priorities in her life. She will always be remembered for her faith, her Irish spirit and for the blessings she bestowed on her family.

She is survived by Robert Mongrain, their three daughters, one son and four grandchildren.

Peggy will be laid to rest at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Philipsburg.
