McEuen plans are headed online

| August 13, 2010 8:39 AM

Team McEuen is going online, because not everyone can attend evening

public meetings.

The team of architects, engineers and designers contracted to craft a

new and improved downtown park wants to give the public 24-hour access to offer ideas and comments on the evolving project.

Next week, www.mceuenpark.com should be up and running, said Doug

Eastwood, parks director. The page, devoted to the park and nothing

but the park, will put up preliminary ideas for the redesign project,

while giving page surfers an avenue to type in their input.

It’ll also post schedules for upcoming public meetings. A Team McEuen

team member will monitor and collect the input and share it with the

rest of the team, as well as at the public meetings.

The reason for the website is to make it easier for people to chime

in. Not everyone can attend evening meetings, Eastwood said.
