Marjorie Ellen Gordon Frye, 89

| August 13, 2010 1:44 PM

Marjorie was born in Clinton, Mont., on Nov. 11, 1920, to parents Ada J. House, and Robert L. Gordon. She passed away peacefully Aug. 10, 2010, at the age of 89, in Coeur d'Alene. Most of her life was spent in Spokane, Wash.

A wife, mother, grandmother and sister - she was so loved by all who came in touch with her. We know mom is now at peace in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Marjorie loved her children, who will miss her so much. Her witty sense of humor was a big part of her personality and her love of life itself.

She loved her time spent in Arizona and enjoyed other traveling when she was able to do so. She enjoyed knitting, loved flowers and working in her yard. A hard worker, she endured the difficult times of many struggles, she knew how to be thrifty, to do without and be happy and content. Mom was the heart of our family.

Her parents; her brothers (Alfred, James and Richard); her son, David; great-grandsons Patrick and Eric; great-great-grandson Caleb; her husband of almost 43 years and father of her children, William Frye who died in 1987, preceded mom in death. After several years she then married Arlan Erickson who died in 1998.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Judy Zabel (Jack) Carol Steffen (Fred) Arlene Brown (Les) William Frye (Cheryl) Janice Dack (Danny) and James Frye (Sandy); brothers (Robert, Johnny and Jack Gordon and Tom Nelson); 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and companion and buddy toy poodle Buffy.

A special recognition of Jeannie Breckenridge for all her love and care of our mom when mom was a resident at Beehive Homes.

We love you mom.
