TWIN FALLS (AP) - Authorities have seized more than 7,500 marijuana plants with a street value of about $15 million growing in corn fields in south-central Idaho.

Early this week, Jerome County officials seized 314 marijuana plants a corn farmer found in his field west of Jerome.

Other farmers reported similar finds and officials flew over the area, spotting marijuana growing in 30 to 50 more sites in Jerome and Gooding counties.

Gooding County Sheriff Shaun Gough says his officers uprooted 4,958 plants, while Jerome County Sheriff Doug McFall says 2,249 more plants were seized.

Jerome County investigator Rick Cowan says they planned to fly over the area again.
