Kenneth Lowell Arnold, 79

Kenneth Lowell Arnold, 79, passed away at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010.

Kenneth was born in Kellogg on May 22, 1931, to Harry and Maude (Nearing) Arnold. He was a lifelong resident of North Idaho, moving from Kellogg to Coeur d'Alene in 1990.

He worked as a logger in Shoshone County. Kenneth was a good cook who enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and spending time with family.

He is survived by his children, son Steve (Mona) Arnold and daughter Sharon Costa; as well as his former wife, Waltraut Johnson and their children, Daniela (Fran) Giovanelli, Harry (Connie) Arnold, Pam (Rodney) Waller, Mark Arnold and Anthony Arnold; two brothers, Dick Arnold and Bob Arnold; and one sister, Mary Arnold. Kenneth is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Maude; four sisters, Grace, Alice, Ruth and Margaret; two brothers, William and Bud; and former wife Patricia (mother of Steve and Sharon).

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at The Shadduck Lane Park in Coeur d'Alene, 1875 E. Shadduck Lane (Directions: From I-90 take 15th Street North, turn right on Shadduck Lane. Park is located a few blocks down on the left.) Cremation has been entrusted to English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene.
