NIC trustee deadline nears

| August 11, 2010 9:00 PM

The deadline for filing a declaration of candidacy for the two open positions on the North Idaho College Board of Trustees is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1.

NIC is governed by a five-member board of trustees elected from within Kootenai County for staggered terms.

Seat A and Seat B, currently held by Rolly Williams and Christie Wood respectively, will appear on this year's general election ballot during Idaho's general election Nov. 2. Both positions are four-year terms.

Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old, a resident of Kootenai County for at least 30 days prior to the election and a registered voter.

Candidates must also obtain five signatures from others meeting the same elector requirements on a nominating petition.

Declaration of candidacy forms are available in the NIC Office of Resource Management, located in Lee-Kildow Hall Room 111, or the Kootenai County Elections Office at 1808 N. Third Street in Coeur d'Alene.
