Dog bites several at concert

KELLOGG - A dog attacked five people during a concert at Teeters Field Saturday night, including one man who required medical attention.

Kellogg Police Chief Dave Wuolle said a mixed-breed female dog came on to the field about 8:15 p.m. and started biting at some children. When parent Kevin Watson saw the attack, he went down to try to pull the dog off his children, but it turned on him and bit his right wrist and left hand.

A second person, Kyle McEnany, finally restrained the dog until police arrived. Watson was treated and released at Shoshone Medical Center.

Four children were bit by the animal, although the dog didn't break skin on the youth.

Wuolle said the animal is currently being quarantined, and will be deemed as vicious, but noted that the dog did have a rabies vaccination.
