Indians sweep Yakima

SPOKANE - Spokane starter Juan Grullon gave up one run in 4 1/3 innings of work before leaving with an undisclosed injury and the Indians completed a three-game sweep of the Yakima Bears with a 6-1 win Monday afternoon in Northwest League play before 3,525 at Avista Stadium.

Spokane right fielder Josh Richmond hit his third home run of the season, a solo shot, in the sixth.

The victory gives the Indians (8-5) a one-game second-half lead over Yakima (7-6) in the East Division. The two teams will get back in action Wednesday evening in Yakima at 7.
