HAUSER: Market a marvelous upgrade

Are you kidding me, residents are concerned over the visual appeal of an open air market in Hauser Lake along highway 53?! Oh yeah, this is such a lovely visual corridor with the mix of heavy industrial plants, a garbage transfer station and buildings in different stages of neglect. I should know, I am a resident of Hauser Lake.

Seriously, if done well, this open air market would be a positive addition to the area. I know the appealing housing development built adjacent to the proposed open air market site is owned by the same developer. I highly doubt he would tarnish his development with a shabby addition.

If IDOT feels the only requirement is the addition of a turn lane, so be it, it might actually help a current dangerous intersection. I think the residents of Hauser Lake need to embrace progress and change and move forward!
