RESPONSE: 'Traitor' too strong a word

| August 8, 2010 10:49 AM

This is in response to a "My Turn" Column written by Mr. John M. Clark printed in the Coeur d'Alene Press on July 31, 2010, that mentions my name.

Mr. Clark is now saying that President Obama "may or may not be traitorous but a majority (source?) of Americans believe" blah, blah, blah...

I reviewed Mr. Clark's column and find no specific charges that meet the definition of treason, in my opinion. The examples given of illegal, unethical, immoral or unconstitutional acts are merely opinions by Mr. Clark.

Extremists on the right or left can only gain power by promoting paranoia and fear. I prefer to focus on positive methods to make the Earth a better place.

In summary, if you accuse someone of treason please provide facts and valid proof related to the charge to the appropriate authorities and then we can follow the case and judge for ourselves whether your opinion has merit.
