Janice D. (Holmes) Higgins, 67

Janice D. (Holmes) Higgins was born on March 31, 1943, in Coeur d'Alene where she was raised and attended school. On July 23, 2010, at a Boise hospital, she passed on to a better, happier and pain free place to be with the Lord she loved.

Janice worked as a waitress in and around Coeur d'Alene and Boise for many years, she went on to become a drug and alcohol councilor in Coeur d'Alene, Boise and Twin Falls areas and had more than 30 years of sobriety herself.

Janice leaves behind her father, Charles Holmes of Reno, Nev.; sisters, Kathy Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Eileen Walker of Meridian; two children, and six grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her brother, mother and youngest son.
