| August 6, 2010 1:33 PM

Jacqueline "Jackie" Jean Fischer was born May 16, 1933, in Ontario, Calif., where she was raised by her parents Jack and Bethine Stryker.

Soon after graduating from Chaffey High School in Ontario, she married Air Force Sergeant Raymond Fischer, on June 23, 1951, whom her father had brought home for Christmas dinner in 1950. They remained lovingly devoted to one another the rest of her life.

Her early years of marriage were spent as an air force wife moving from Northern California to Alaska, to Georgia. After Ray's discharge from the air force in 1957, they returned to Southern California, where they raised their children in Palmdale, Calif., until 1966, when the family moved to her "hometown" Coeur d'Alene. She resided here ever since.

Always a devoted wife and mother, she valued providing a strong foundation for her children and a loving home for family and friends. She loved travel and had the privilege of visiting much of the world, which provided her many fond memories.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a service sorority, most of her adult life and retained many friendships from the organization, she was also a past member of the Coeur d'Alene Lady Lions and PTA President in Palmdale. She and Ray also were longtime members of the Coeur d'Alene Good Sam's Club, where they enjoyed the fellowship of other campers.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert.
