Donald H. Lance, 83
Donald H. Lance of Rathdrum passed away July 28, 2010 after a lengthy
illness. Don is survived by his wife, Thelma; children: Marcia (Roy)
Taylor of Hayden, Wendy Hollingsworth of Yakima, Mike Lance of
Rathdrum and Donna (Bill) White of Rose Lake; stepsons: Charlie and
Robert Harms; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Don was born in Kellogg on Jan. 7, 1927 and graduated from Rose Lake
High School. While attending high school, he drove school bus and also
worked in the mines. In his later years Don drove both long haul and
logging trucks. From the time Don was a small boy his family owned
property on Kilarney Lake. He enjoyed boating, camping and water
skiing.
A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Rose Lake School (Rose
Lake, Idaho) on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 from 1 p.m. with a potluck.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to may make a donation to the Rose
Lake Historical Society: 14917 S. Queen Avenue, Cataldo, Idaho 83810.
