Blues Festival runs Aug. 13-14

| August 6, 2010 9:00 PM

LIBBY, Mont. - The banks of the beautiful Kootenai River in Libby will once again be rockin' with the summer sounds of rhythm and blues this Aug. 13 and 14. Sit back in your lawn chair to enjoy Blues, Brews & BBQs in the new Riverfront Park Pavilion at Montana's second annual Riverfront Blues Festival.

This year's Festival has expanded to include two big evenings of top-notch entertainment. Widely renowned musicians, representing a range of blues styles, are gathering on the waterfront to share their talent.

From nationally acclaimed Becki Sue & Her Big Rockin' Daddies' tough, Texas-style, blues to the "blues harp" sounds of San Francisco's Phil Berkowitz, also featuring the seasoned, young, charismatic Ben Rice, this festival has something for everyone.

The Flathead band, Big Daddy & the Blue Notes, is regrouping specifically to play this event and Kenny James Miller Band brings their big, rockin' sound back to the Kootenai.

Crying Shame from Idaho, Mike Bader from Missoula, and the eclectic sound of Back Adit round out the weekend offerings.
