Christiansen leading Senior Oregon Open

PENDLETON, Ore. - Amateur Bob Christensen of Prairie Falls Golf Course in Post Falls is leading after the second day of the Senior Oregon Open at the Wildhorse Resort.

Christianson leads by three strokes over PGA Professional Scott Williams of Glendale Country Club at Bellevue, Wash., going into today's final round.

Local group offering free sports physicals

HAYDEN - Kootenai Health and partners will offer free sports physicals for students entering the region's middle schools and high schools between noon and 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19 at Coeur d'Alene Pediatrics' new Hayden office, located at 9095 N. Hess Street.

The program, now in its 13th year, is sponsored by Coeur d'Alene Pediatrics, Kootenai Health and Panhandle Health District.

Exams will be done on a first come, first served basis. No registration is necessary. All students should wear comfortable clothing and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to be eligible.

In addition to comprehensive sports physicals, full musculo-skeletal exams will be provided. Those who meet certain guidelines may also receive immunizations.
