Justin Rader joins Fullwiler Dental

Justin Rader, DDS, has joined Fullwiler Dental in Coeur d'Alene. Rader is a graduate of University of the Pacific Dental School, Boise State University and Coeur d'Alene High School, and is an Iraqi war veteran. He will specialize in family/children's dentistry, after-hours dental emergencies, Invisalign, crowns, bridges and tooth-colored fillings. He is currently welcoming new patients.

Foundation announces new board members

The North Idaho College Foundation board of directors recently announced several new members appointed to the 2010-2011 board.

The all-volunteer board of directors oversees the NIC Foundation, the college's private fundraising division. The multimillion dollar foundation provides supplemental support to enhance the mission of the college and support NIC students, employees and programs.

Art Elliot is new to the NIC Foundation board. Elliot is the president, treasurer and chief executive officer of Shelter Associates, Inc. of Coeur d'Alene. Shelter Associates is a custom residential, remodeling and commercial general contracting firm. He received the Lifetime Commitment to Energy Efficient Construction Award at the 2009 Northwest Building Efficiency Conference and was honored as a 2010 certified green builder professional by the National Association of Home Builders. He has served as chairman of the Idaho Contractors Registration Board in addition to serving on several committees for the NAHB, the Coeur d'Alene Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors and Jobs Plus Board.

CJ Buck is also a new member of the NIC Foundation board of directors. He is president of Buck Knives, Inc., a fourth-generation family business that moved to Post Falls from San Diego, Calif., in 2005. Buck has served as president since 1999. He also serves on the Idaho Economic Advisory Council and the American Knife and Tool Institute board.

Other current NIC Foundation members include officers President Tim Komberec, Vice President Mark Fisher, Immediate Past President David Wold, Secretary Priscilla Bell and Treasurer Michelle Schini Haneline and members Joe Abate, Jody Azevedo, Ron Jacobson, Mic Armon, Sandi Bloem, Mike Chapman, Jim Coleman, Brad Dugdale, James Eisses, Kimber Gates, John Goedde, Jon Hippler, Steve Meyer, Claudia Miewald, David Pelz, Ben Rolphe, C. Richard Sams, Sue Thilo, Jim Thorpe, Tom Torgerson, Marc Wallace and John Young. Rayelle Anderson is the executive director of the NIC Foundation.

Kempthorne joins Olympic Steel board

Olympic Steel, Inc. (Nasdaq:ZEUS) reported Wednesday that on Aug. 2, 2010, its board of directors elected the former Idaho Gov. Dirk A. Kempthorne, as a director, effective immediately. Kempthorne will also serve on the nominating committee of the board.

He served as the Mayor of Boise (1985-1992) and a United States Senator from Idaho 1993-1999. He was also a two-term governor of Idaho 1999-2006, and most recently served as the 49th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior from 2006 to January 2009.
