Bruce W. Kizer, 57

Bruce W. Kizer, 57, Oviedo Fla., died Monday June 21, 2010 of natural causes.

He was born June 9, 1953, in Moscow to Ralph Kizer and Dixie Kizer. Bruce served 20 years in the U.S. Army and retired from service as a major. He attended the University of California Irvine and achieved a bachelor's degree in psychology. Following his retirement from the Army, Bruce continued working in the defense industry working with Raytheon, SAIC and ECS.

Bruce will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all that loved him. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, love of music, fondness of dogs and a strong set of family values.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Louise Kizer of Oviedo; son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Lisa Kizer, Aubrey, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Scott Stafford, Poway, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Diane and Mike Hernon, Escondido, Calif.; stepdaughters Kelly Eldon, Carie Eldon, Christine Eldon, and Jennifer Eldon of Toronto, Canada; eight grandchildren, Anna, Ashley, Justin, Bethany, Deaken, Megan, Alyssa and Dylan.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. Services were held in Oceanside and Oviedo.
