“That excavator is $29,500, and you can rent it for $170 a day,” said Lake City Rental partner/owner Mike Macomber, pointing to equipment just outside the store located at 10,416 N. Government Way in Hayden. Lake City Rental also has a store at 19,208 E. Broadway in the Spokane Valley. You can pick up and drop off rental equipment at either location.

Lake City Rental is locally owned and operated, and Macomber said he does his best to use local vendors for the needs of his own business.

This is the sixth year for the business, which both rents out equipment for home and garden projects to homeowners and light contractors, and rents tents, china, flatware and other items for special events.

“We have a tent for any event,” Macomber said.
