SCOUTS: High praise for local leader

Thank you for the profile on Chris Petersen of the Boy Scouts.  I have volunteered for many organizations over the years and I have never known anyone to work harder, take the mission to heart and be a more positive role model than Chris. 

The transformation of the program and facilities at Camp Easton in his tenure has been outstanding. He is up at 6am at camp swimming with the "Polar Bear" kids and ends the work day generally after 9pm.  Many of the over 1,100 scouts in the district know him and have enjoyed his stories (and songs). He is immensely popular with the youth and parents alike.  Though I personally can't volunteer as much as I have in the past, I  know the younger parents with younger children will appreciate the leadership and friendship Chris offers and will be inspired by him to make the organization a continuing success.
