HAYDEN - Alex Pounds shot a 3-under 69 and the Coeur d'Alene boys golf team shot a combined 304 on Monday to win the Kraus Invitational at Avondale.

The Vikings junior varsity shot a 318, good enough for second place, with Lewiston coming in third at 324.

"That is the first time in my eight years here when our varsity and JV went 1-2 in a tournament," Coeur d'Alene coach Bryan Duncan said. "That says a lot for our future. Hunter (Kraft) as a sophomore shooting a 72 and (Kyle) Kaufman shooting 78 might shake up the varsity a little."

Jayce Yoshida shot a 77 to lead Post Falls to a seventh place showing. Lake City tied for ninth behind 88s by Spencer Skipper and Matthew Creighton.

Lakeland's Lucas Portello carded an 93, and St. Maries was led by Satchel Schetzle's 88.
