Victor E. Stedman, 92

Victor E. Stedman, of Redmond, Ore., died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 92 years of age. He was born Feb. 28, 1918, in Berg, N.D., to parents Edward and Ina (Nulph) Stedman.

On Oct. 11, 1945, he was united in marriage to Alice Bernston in Whitefish, Mont. She survives at the family home in Redmond. From 1952 to 1978 Vic worked at St. Regis Paper Co. in Libby, Mont. He served as a MP in the U.S. Army during WWII. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and bowling. Vic enjoyed his retirement while living in Post Falls, until 2007 at which time he and Alice move to Redmond to be closer to family.

Besides his wife he leaves behind sons; Jim and Larry, both of Redmond; daughters Carol Williams of Redmond and Judy Jensen of Plentywood, Mont.; half brothers Buddy Olson of Kalispell, Mont., and Galen Olson of Oklahoma. There are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a daughter.
