Lakeland teacher earns GIANTS science award

RATHDRUM - Lakeland Junior High teacher Dennis Kimberling won an honorable mention Governor's Industry Award for Notable Teaching in Science (GIANTS).

Kimberling won $500 and his school $100.

Karlicia Berry, a teacher at Ponderosa Elementary in Post Falls, won a GIANTS award for the elementary teachers. She won $2,000 and the school $500.

The awards were presented on Monday in Boise.
