Aree Cameron, AKA 'MAD MARY,' 62

Aree Cameron, AKA “MAD MARY,” 62, resident of Coeur d’Alene, passed away April 16, 2010, at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Bangkok, Thailand.

She moved to the U.S. in 1972. Aree married Tim Cameron on Sept. 24, 1983, in New Orleans, La. They resided there until 1994 when they moved to Idaho and started Mad Mary’s Thai Food Restaurant. She enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Aree is survived by her husband, Tim Cameron; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Erin Cameron of Saint Helens, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tony Parker, Battle Grounds, Wash., and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by various family members in Thailand.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Church Of Christ, 502 S. Division St., Pinehurst.
