Alma was born April 12, 1919. She died of natural causes after a long life at the age of 91 on April 17, 2010.

Alma met her future husband, Robert Bergstrom (Bob), while attending Idaho State University. After Bob’s death in 1976, Alma returned to college where she got a certificate and then worked as a CNA in the hospital and a nursing home.  She enjoyed working as a caretaker for elderly people in Spokane.

In 1980 she married Harold Gower and resided in Spokane and Yuma, Arizona. The past 13 years after Harold’s passing, she lived near her daughters in Boise.
