Lois E. Brown, 85

Lois E. Brown died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Vincention Regency in Pittsburgh, Pa. Lois was born May 4, 1924, in New England, N.D.

She was preceded by her husband, Bernard K. Brown; sister Phyllis Wagner and she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Ardis Reager Alexander.

Lois Brown, was the first administrator of the Western Pennsylvania Montessori School in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.

Survivors include a son B. David Brown of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law Lisa Marie Brown and three grandsons, Cody, Bruin and Nash Brown; six siblings Lynn Alexander, Gary Alexander, Dean Alexander, Arlene Smith, Kay Horn and Jean Knowles of Spokane, Wash. 

Friends and family are invited to be received from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, with burial to follow at Forest Cemetery.
