Webinar starts today at noon

The Coeur d'Alene Area Chamber of Commerce will be offering a Spring Webinar Series in April. The first scheduled of the series is "Marketing Your Business in a Recession with Print Advertising," by Bob McInnis and The Coeur d'Alene Press. This webinar takes place from noon to 1 p.m. today from the convenience of your own computer.

Continuing education is critical to all successful businesses.

The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce recognizes that during these challenging times, business budgets for education may be limited. In response to those needs, the chamber is offering its members the free webinar series, brought to you by chamber businesses that address to current times and how you can achieve that competitive advantage that will possibly reward far into the future.

Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson receives bronze award

Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson in Coeur d'Alene was awarded Harley-Davidson Motor Company's 2009 calendar year Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Achievement Award. Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson earned the award based upon their motorcycle and related product sales performance, an evaluation of customer service and satisfaction, and various operational measures.

"One of the primary reasons the Harley-Davidson brand has such tremendous customer loyalty is because of the efforts of the dealership staffs, such as Lone Wolf's," said Jeff Merten, Harley-Davidson's vice president and general manager of North American Sales. Job Fair is today at fairgrounds

Glacier Bancorp Inc. completes stock offering

Glacier Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: GBCI) had completed its firm commitment underwritten public offering of about 10.3 million shares of common stock at a price of $14.75 per share. The total shares sold in the offering include more 1.3 million shares purchased by the underwriters through the exercise of the over-allotment option.

The net proceeds to Glacier from the offering, after underwriting discounts and estimated transaction expenses, are anticipated to be approximately $145.6 million. Glacier intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to support growth of its banks and for general corporate purposes, which may include investments at the holding company level, capital allocations to its banking subsidiaries, and potential future business opportunities in its market areas, such as FDIC-assisted transactions.

Mountain West Bank is one of the Glacier subsidiary banks that will receive a portion of the new capital. With the new capital, Mountain West will have regulatory capital levels that are among the highest in its peer group and substantially in excess of "Well Capitalized" requirements of regulatory authorities.

Mountain West Bank, an Idaho State-Chartered Commercial Bank headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, has 24 branches operating in Idaho, Washington and Utah.
