Candidate forum set for Mica Flats Grange

A candidates forum is scheduled 7 p.m. Friday at the Mica Flats Grange, corner of U.S. 95 and Kidd Island Bay Road.

Candidates for the Kootenai County commissioners races and legislative District 5 senator contest are expected to be there.

Candidates for county commissioner District 2 are incumbent Rick Currie, Republican, and challengers Chris Filios, Republican, and Jai Nelson, Republican.

Candidates for county commissioner District 3 are incumbent Richard Piazza, Republican, and challengers Dan Green, Republican and Kevin Ratigan, Republican.

Incumbent District 5 Sen. Jim Hammond, Republican, and challengers Jack Schroeder, Republican and John Green, Republican, are expected to show up.
