Ruth Aileen Kincheloe, 76

| April 7, 2010 4:29 AM

Ruth Aileen Kincheloe joined Jesus Christ on March 30, 2010. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends in celebration of her life.

Ruth Aileen Anderson was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Richey, Mont., to Clarence and Alma Anderson.  She spent her childhood in Helena, Mont., and went on to attend the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Mont. She graduated with a degree in education and spent some time as an elementary teacher.

Ruth married Ray Kincheloe on June 18, 1955, and they went on to have four children together, Kevin, Kim, Kristi and Kraig. They also helped to raise their niece and nephew, Michelle and Rich Chevallier.

Ruth enjoyed being outdoors most of all and always longed for the beautiful “Big Sky” of Montana.  She spent time in the summer water skiing and camping and in the winter enjoyed cross country skiing.

Ruth’s true passion was any activity that involved her grandchildren. She was a constant presence for countless sporting events and school activities and she spent hours and hours playing board games and having tea parties.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Kincheloe and her family, Kevin and Julie Kincheloe, their kids Leah, Jordan and Olivia; Kim and Tom Richert, their kids Samantha, Abbie and Austin, along with Samantha’s daughter, Taylor; Kristi and Brett Haney, their kids, Sydney and Cooper; and Kraig and Katie Kincheloe and their daughter, Alexa.

Ruth dedicated her life to providing for her family and raising her children and grandchildren. We will miss her, but we are blessed with the knowledge that she is with her Lord and she has left the best parts of herself with us in our hearts and memories.

The memorial service will be at held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Hayden, with a luncheon directly following the service. A graveside service will follow the luncheon at 2 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that a donation be made in Ruth’s name to Hospice of North Idaho, an organization very close to Ruth’s heart.

Yates funeral home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Ruth’s memorial and sign her online guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
