Bonnita L. Thompson, 67

Beloved wife and mother peacefully entered into eternal rest at home on April 2, 2010, with her family at her bedside. Bonnita was born Feb. 22, 1943, to Dale and Kathleen Slater in Westfir, Ore.

She attended Potter Valley High School in California and graduated in 1961. In 1962 Bonnita married the love of her life, Royd Thompson, in Potter Valley and celebrated 47 years of marriage. After residing in California for 40 years, she relocated to Idaho with her family in 1983 where she made Hayden her home.

Bonnita worked at Lil Bear in Hayden and enjoyed being a homemaker and mother as well. Among her many hobbies and interests, Bonnita lived her life for Jesus and attended Real Life Ministries. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Bonnita was preceded in death by a son, Matthew and is survived by her husband, Royd; son Wayne; father Dale; mother Kathleen; brother Kenneth; sisters-in-law Gracia, Louise and Doris; brother-in-law Gary and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnita will be forever loved and never forgotten.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
