SUPPORT: God bless all of you
My family and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped in any way during the brief illness and subsequent death of our husband, father and grandfather the weekend of March 20.
An extra special thank you goes to the couple from Hayden, who were "just passing by" who stopped to offer assistance and stayed with me until the paramedics arrived. I did not get their name, but they will know who they are. Their presence was such a big comfort.
To my neighbors, Steve and Mia Portue, who accompanied me to the hospital and stayed with me for many hours. Your support and caring saw me through the roughest hours.
To all the staff and the chaplain in the emergency room at KMC, you went above and beyond in your professionalism and in keeping our family informed of the seriousness of Robert's condition. Your quiet thoroughness and gentle caring was reflected in the care you gave.
To the EMTs who answered the summons and prepared our loved one for the trip to the hospital. We thank God there are people with your training in the community. We could not live without you.
To the staff in the "Circle of Life" unit who made him comfortable in his final hours. You were wonderful. For my best friends, Ray and Vicci Anderson, where would I have been without you? We will get through this together.
Thank you to Pastor Kirt Wandry, for his prayers and comfort. For everyone who sent flowers, cards, brought food, and came to help celebrate his life we cannot thank you enough. Forgive us if we don't list each of you individually, there were so many of you. Just know that your kindness and caring will always be remembered.
A special thank you to our good friends, Gene and Myrna Short, for going to the airport to pick up Nadine. It was greatly appreciated.
If we have missed anyone, we apologize. It was definitely not intentional. May God bless each of you for your kindness and generosity.
