Let your kids have fun at Jungle Pizza

| March 9, 2009 10:00 PM

POST FALLS — If your kids seem like monkeys sometimes, there's a place in Post Falls where they'll fit right in: Jungle Pizza, Co., a new jungle-themed pizza place with room for parties and the equipment for children to have fun.

The business owned by T.J. Culhane officially opened on Dec. 15 in the 10,000-square-foot building at 508 Seltice Way.

Manager Kelly Martinelli explained why Culhane chose to open the business in Post Falls, saying "there's not a lot right here in Post Falls where you can sit down, have a pizza and play games."

You can do just that at Jungle Pizza.

Jungle Pizza has plenty of space for parties of up to 40 people, and is working on a party package for those who reserve.

The pizza menu is kid- and adult-friendly, with strombolis, calzones, wings, bread sticks and an all-you-can-eat salad bar. Wine and beer will soon be available, if it is not already.

Those who eat their pizza at the business can enjoy plenty of activities.

So far, the space contains a kitchen customers can see into and watch pizza dough tossed and their foot made, in addition to 20 arcade games, Skee Ball, Air Hockey, a private room reservable at no extra charge, and the beginnings of a jungle mural wrapping around the room.

The artist will continue to paint while Jungle Pizza is open, and plans call for more decoration, Martinelli said.

Feedback on the business has been great, she said.

"We've gotten some really good comments on the pizza," she said.

n Jungle Pizza is open 11 a.m. through 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You can reach the business at 773-1500.
